DSE 6211G - Machine Learning

This course offers students introduction to the fundamentals conceptual, operational and experiential aspects of machine learning, or activities and/or processes used by electronically operated computational devices to extract insights from data. More specifically, this introductory course will introduce students to automated pattern detection approaches focused on four key outcomes of categorization, prediction, identification and detection. The course is meant to offer an overview of this highly complex and rapidly evolving field, thus will focus on established approaches, key developmental trends, and hands-on applications of select techniques.
