CSC 3720 - Computer Architecture

Credits: 4
The course covers the analysis and design of the major elements of a digital computer. Basic Logic Gates such as AND, OR, NAND, NOR, and XOR along with the D-Latch will be taught and then used to design the computer’s Central Processing Unit.  Control, address and data buses of the register-transfer sequence and pipelining will also be covered using the MIPS assembly language.
Prerequisite(s): CSC 1610  with a minimum grade of C and Junior standing.
