PSY 4985 - Equine Assisted TherapyCredits: 4 This course will provide a broad overview of Equine Assisted Therapy and Equine Assisted Learning. This course will provide the student with an opportunity to observe equine assisted therapies and learning in practice, as well as gain hands-on experience with equine assisted learning. Students in this class will work with clients as they are engaging in equine assisted classes. <b>Students must be comfortable working with and around horses</b>. Students will reflect on these experiences and discuss observed progress and difficulties with fellow classmates. They will also learn to critically evaluate empirical research on equine assisted practices, and will gain experience in research protocol design, as well as grant writing. Prerequisite(s): PSY 1000 Fulfills: X in LS Core
