EDU 4020 - Assessments in Special EducationCredits: 4 Students will examine the role assessment plays in the identification of a disability to the IEP development and classroom and assistive technology accommodations necessary for students with disabilities to access the general education curriculum. The focus of the course is on report writing and IEP development based on assessment application and analysis. This course will also investigate federal and state regulations regarding mandated timelines for completion of the eligibility determination process. Further, the role of outside agencies will be identified in the IEP development process. Prerequisite(s): EDU 2410 and Moderate Disabilities concentrations only.
