HIS 3471 - From Lenin to Putin: Russia in the Twentieth CenturyCredits: 4 This course examines the history of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. Particular attention is paid to the pre- Revolutionary background, the causes of the Revolutions in 1917, Marxism-Leninism, the cultural revolution, Stalinism, and the social and economic context of political events and change from 1917 to the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991 and beyond.
