HIS 3326 - Building America: A History of American ArchitectureCredits: 4 This course introduces students to Native American and Western European traditions as they influenced the development of American architecture. Emphasis is placed on the historical context (political, economic, social, and cultural) of American architecture. Students also gain a knowledge of the language of architecture and the ability to identify and differentiate architectural styles and periods and have the opportunity to apply those skills in a course project. Fulfills: AL or H in LS Core Note: This course is usually not appropriate for freshmen.
