PHL 4020 - Epistemology

Credits: 4
A course on the theories of knowledge and the problems associated with knowledge currently debated in the philosophical literature. Included will be the correspondence, coherence, and pragmatic theories of truth. Other topics will include relativism, skepticism, foundationalism, reliablism, naturalized epistemology, the problem of induction, and the myth of the given.  Area Requirement for Philosophy:  Knowledge
Prerequisite(s): PHL 1000 , PHL 1100  or PHL 1200   and another course in Philosophy or the permission of the professor.
